Are you wondering how your hard-earned money can grow forever? Your gift will benefit this community you are so proud to be a part of.
The Marquette County Community foundation has over $15 million in assets - from generous gifts, large and small made over time.
The earnings on those assets are used to provide scholarships to area youth and grants to non-profit organizations through a competitive grant application process. Your donations to the community foundation remain in its asset pool forever and the earnings on your contributions repeatedly benefit our community. It is the perfect way to give back to the community that you call home.
The Spring 2017 grant cycle is now open. Funding is available through all affiliates: Marquette Area, Greater Ishpeming Area, Negaunee Area and Gwinn. Volunteer programs and projects will be supported by the George W. Romney fund administered by the Community Foundation and United Way of Marquette County. Grant applications are due by April 10th, 2017 at noon. For further information contact the Foundation office at 906.226.7666.
