The Greater Ishpeming Area Community Fund was established in 1994 with matching funds from the Kellogg Foundation as an affiliate of the Marquette Community Foundation. Grants from the GIACF serve the people of Western Marquette County including, the City of Ishpeming, Ishpeming Township, Ely Township, Tilden Township, Champion, Michigamme and Republic.
Currently the Fund has assets of $950,000 and has distributed $143,000 in grants and scholarships.

Donor-Advised Funds
Holman Family Fund - Distribution from the fund provide financial support for scholarships and research grants for the purpose of studying the mining industry, lighthouses, biology, fishery, environmental or research of Lake Superior.

Ishpeming School District Educational Fund-
Annual Distribution supports the Ishpeming School District as decided upon by the School Board
